[Iowa-dx] A vision for IAGP's future...

Well, Rick, this would be a question for an attorney, which I am not.
However, whenever a person is endorsed (approved) to run under
the official Green Party ticket, it seems to me that they could be
required to sign a Green Party contract. Now I am going to use
two terms that I do not believe exist in Green Party, but I hope
will one day be used, such as the Green Party Code of Conduct
and the Green Party Etiquette:
"Whereas the endorsed candidate is accepting either or both
official Green Party public endorsement, subsidy, loan, and services,
and is thus representing the official reputation and image of the
Green Party organizations worldwide by being documented as a
member of Green Party running for public office, the candidate and,
if elected, later the incumbant hereby agrees to inclusively abide by
each and every provision of the Green Party Platform, the Green
Party Code of Conduct, and the Green Party Etiquette.
Should the candidate and, if elected, later the incumbant willfully
not abide by each and every provision of the Green Party Platform,
the Green Party Code of Conduct, and the Green Party Etiquette
inclusively, to the extent that the authority at the jurisdiction or
level of Green Party involved (i.e. local Green Party group, county
Green Party organization, state Green Party organization, national
Green Party organization, etc) so deems that Green Party's image
and reputation have been harmed, damaged, and/or scandalized,
then the candidate and/or incumbant shall resign from his or her
candidacy or office, or shall both terminate membership in and
association with Green Party and also make public announcements
to advertise that effect."
My reference to the Green Party Code of Conduct and the Green
Party Etiquette are two ideas I would like to see be implemented
in Green Party at all levels, and I can explain that if you like.
