And such an opinion is exactly what the Republicommunist mafia cult
hopes will be the main "revisionist history" that ignorant people see.
Your viewpoint is not the Green Party way of thinking.
For those who remember the history of what went on, since I lived
through that era and remember it vividly, Gerald Ford will always be
remembered for what he has always been... a mafia hit-man soldier
for his political party, who did whatever dirty work when he was very
infrequently asked to do, and then he vanished into obscurity where
he would neither be noticed nor remembered. That was his real
value to the Republicans, for, as an attorney, Nixon was kept informed
in advance of everything his party was going to do to impeach him.
Nixon was desperate to find someone who was suitable and dependable
to pardon him, and I will not go into the details of this here, those
details are well-documented.
Gerald Ford had proven himself to be discreet and dependable in his
appointment to the Warren Commission, where Ford interfered with
and prevented critical investigation into President John F. Kennedy's
assassination, and suppressed evidence that was already in the record.
This was the first proof-positive example where Ford obstructed
justice to cover up crucial facts.
One would have to be incredibly mentally-disabled not to see that
Ford's appointment to be Vice President was in advance of the
already-known impeachment preparations being conducted by
members of his own party. Keep in mind, this was when the
Republican Party actually had members who were morally-dedicated
to some form of justice, reeling to the after-effects from the
President Eisenhower / Vice President Nixon involvement in the
Senator Joseph McCarthy anti-communist witch-hunt era of the
House Un-American Activities Committee. The evidence is clear
that Ford knew he was going to be President after Nixon had
resigned, and it is well-past speculation that there was a deal
made before Ford was chosen.
There is much too much more to this than I will go into, but all
of this has been quite discussed and documented ever since
Watergate. And Ford has proven himself to be a consumate liar
during his whole career, which really astonishes me when former
President Jimmy Carter says a patronizingly stupid remark the
other day that Ford was the most decent and honest man he
ever met in politics. Bullshit. He was a typical Republican. Had
he been pro-Democracy and morally correct, he would have
allowed the justice system to do its job rather than to interfere
so that we do not condone a monarchy-style dynasty of political
elite in our nation's history. The Republicans have always been
known to be involved in real conspiracies that were clandestine,
far more than those of the Democrats. It is un-Green of anyone
to subscribe to the revisionist history propaganda that the vile
anti-Democracy Republicans have always vomited in the face of
real history. They are the genuine communists of our nation.
Ford was not respected -- at the time of his involvement in the
obstruction of justice -- by the majority of the Republican voters,
as was proven. They detested Ford. As for us now, in our
nation memorializing Ford so dishonestly, it is totally unpatriotic to
propagate those lies just as was done with Ronald Reagan's
memorial. This is a continuation in the Republicans' re-writing of
history into propaganda for their own dishonest self-promotions.
