Dear NC Delegate:

The Green Party of San Juan County in Washington State is solely
responsible for getting this advisory resolution on the Sept. 19 primary
ballot:

Shall the County Council, on behalf of the citizens of San Juan County,
adopt a resolution as follows:

We request that the President and Congress immediately begin a rapid,
orderly, and humane withdrawal of all U.S. military personnel and
equipment from Iraq, commencing no later than January 1, 2007; and that
the US provide financial and humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people.
YES or NO

Results: YES - 3120;   NO - 2156

San Juan County is the only municipality in the state to do this (so
far).
