FYI, here is the response I got back from him, which gives more =20
information about his program and the cost. (FYI, the most we ever =20
drew in from a fundraising event in Iowa City was a little over $300. =20
They've more likely been around $50, or we break even! I'm not sure =20
what people usually expect to pay here to attend something like this - =20
$12 is my guess at the higher end.)

What do you think? Could we manage to do a couple or more shows in Iowa??

********
My performances for Greens center around campaign events, community =20
outreach which often take the form of potlucks with concerts =20
following, and just to get together and have fun.

I promote all my concerts as community building to bring people =20
together, and in the process become stronger as we meet and work =20
together. If there is an admission, it ranges from $10-20 and depends =20
on the venue. For outreach, and having an audience, $10 works for me, =20
but in some places $15 for a house concert is the norm.
Fees generally range from 250 to 600, altho I was just offered 750, =20
but that is unusual. On the road, I like to get 300-350 if playing for =20
a fee. Union scale for colleges runs 450-500.

If there are families with children, say teens, I would charge 5 for =20
the kids. I like a minimum guarantee of 250, but if an organization =20
doesn't have the money, then I am flexible. The show is not generally =20
for young kids, but my condom song is now well-known and requested by =20
7-12 grade students who come to the peer sexuality workshops I do =20
each year. Let?s talk. If you are thinking of having a few shows, we =20
need to talk asap for scheduling, as I am filling up and want to =20
juggle some dates to accommodate you. thx. I'm home at the moment =20
