when we have public events, let's get a large (say, five gallon?)
glass jar that we can cut a hole in the lid, and tape a neat
message as follows:

DONATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED
But if you would like to help Iowa Green Party
and perhaps assist in sponsoring more events
like this in the future, please contribute whatever
you feel you would like to give here.  Any amount
will go a long way in promoting Green Democracy!
