Dear Friends of Immigration Reform--Congress will be deciding whether to
debate immigration reform soon, and it's crucial that Iowa is ready to
mobilize when that time comes.  American Friends Service Committee,
Catholic Charities and other groups in Central Iowa have created the
listserve immigrationiowa@googlegroups.com as a vehicle to quickly
spread information across the state about calls for action on
legislation, immigration-related events happening in Iowa, and emergency
responses to raids and other enforcement activities.

We pledge to use this list sparingly only for calls to action.  In order
to reach the broadest number of people quickly, we need to get as many
people as possible on this listserve.  We currently have 150+ members
from all corners of the state, but we need more!  Please circulate this
message to your like-minded friends, families and other individuals.

If you'd like to be added to the listserve, send an email to
immigrationiowa@gmail.com.  Include the following information: i) how
did you hear about the listserve? (who sent you this email?) and ii) a
brief sentence on why you want to be on the listserve.

Thank you!  We look forward to working together to bring about humane
and just immigration reform!
