Problems Copying The Online2008 Green Party Chicago
Convention Registration Form:
I do not make electronic transfers for transferring funds overthe
internet, so I attempted to copy your online form toregister myself for
attending the 2008 GP Convention inChicago. As I am sending my payment
by cheque throughthe postal mail instead, I attempted to print-out theregis=
tration
form from a university computer, and I ran intoa lot of trouble trying to
alter and copy-print out the form. There was no "printer-friendly
version" link to the form, so Isimply filled in all of the information
and attempted to copy-paste the form onto a Microshit Word-Imperfect
blank page,and the small Green Party form immediately filled almosttwo
and two-thirds pages with a whole lot of unnecessarygraphics! Being as I
had it in the Word-Imperfect format, I then tried toedit out the credit
card graphics and other unnecessaryinformation, so the form would fit on
one print-out page, andI really had a problem with the registration form
formatturning out in a simple way so I could print it on one page. I did
finally succeed, however, but again, it was with about ahalf hour of
frustrating dickering and having to re-do the formall over again once.
Although I was a special delegate for Iowa Green Party to goto the Green
Party National Meeting in Reading, Pennsylvaniaearlier this year, I do
not know if I will or will not again be askedto be a delegate for Iowa to
the 2008 Chicago Convention.
However, I still would like to attend many of the workshops andactivities
in the 2008 Chicago Convention as I can, whether ornot if I am not a
delegate.
Since I finally succeeded in printing out a Pre-Registration form,I am
taking the liberty of making a mail-in reservation for the2008 Green
Party Convention in Chicago, this time just as aregular member regardless
of whether or not I have any officialstatus, and, I am mailing the
application and payment by U.S.postal means. I just hope you can change
the format into onethat we can easily print out from our computers.
