Last night at 8PM and 9PM, the Live From Prairie Lights radio program
broadcast the recording of the Congressman Inslee and Paul Krugman. The
broadcast of Congressman Inslee left out my reference to Green Partywhen
I asked my question, but to be fair, it also left out the entire questionof
one person in the audience but included Inslee's response. That mayhave
been edited for time considerations. However, my voice was verydistant,
hard to hear, and almost sounded like it was re-recorded to behard to
hear, but Julie Englander had held the microphone to me so I donot think
it was a technical problem. I'll leave that to your presumptions. The
broadcast also left out Julie Englander's reprimand of my follow-upthat
countered the Congressman as I sat without the microphone, abouthis
dancing around my question by his assertion that hydrogen wasunproven and
held only prospective possibilities, when hydrogen as apure fuel source
has been used successfully as a pure fuel -- not as afuel cell
"alternative"-- for two-and-a-half decades in our country. The broadcast
of Paul Krugman included my mention of Green Party butcut off the very
end of my question's statement. Oh well. Also, I foundmy voice
warbling, which I had not been aware of when I spoke. It'sbeen a long
time since I had my radio program on American RadioNetwork, Will Kinum's
Hollywood View of Washington, in the 1980s.I had a routine for preparing
my voice before I spoke, but as usual as Iam waiting in line for these
programs, I get distracted by the commentsof the guest speaker! Well, at
least one of the broadcasts had a mention of Green Party in it! Ido not
know if the streaming version has the entire broadcast recordingor not.=20
The important thing is, we all must try to make Green Party bepositively
present and noticeable in the public's mind, and from that, weshould find
more and more people wanting to join us, or at least findout more about
us. We have a lot of very articulate members here inIowa who can write
in to letters to the editors and call in to radio andtelevision talk
programs, wherein we can bring Green Party Key Valuesinto their
discussions as a Green Party statement.
