voting machines while you watch the Presidential election returns next =20
year?
You don't have to. HR 811, the Voter Confidence and Increased =20
Accessibility Act, is getting a vote this week. Passage of the bill is =20
essential to a secure 2008 election. We need voter-verified paper =20
records and random mandatory audits by 2008! Please act, and pass this =20
on.
There is a possible amendment to the bill that should be defeated. It =20
is possible that an "unfunded mandate" amendment could be introduced =20
that would delay the 2008 deadline. This amendment is unnecessary. HR =20
