"The President told me to say it, so I will," lamented Federal Reserve
Chairman Ben Bernanke, as his warning that the U.S. economy and probably
the economy of the world, as the direct result of Republican pro-world
corporate policies since 1980, may shrink over the first half of this
year, which, he said, would finally and actually have gained The
President's approval for economists to remove their blinders and for the
economists and news media to finally signal the start of an official
administration-defined recession.
"We had to wait until the crumpled automobile was finally being towed in
front of the public's eye to admit this has been an accident," Bernake
admitted. "We had no choice, we have no choice," he said sagely, "we're
all in this together with the Republican administrations, just like we
were with Enron and The Teapot Dome Scandal. It is, at this point,
simply unavoidable. But don't blame Bush, he's only the Cheerleader In
Chief for this, he had absolutely nothing to do with this, and we've
already destroyed all of the records about this, just like we did with
Bush's military records about his one-year A.W.O.L. because of his
cocaine arrest in Houston, Texas during the Viet Nam war."
Bernake suggested, "My financial advice to investors is the same advice
that the Bush I administration gave during Desert Storm to Duck Tape your
windows in case of WMDs: Investors, horde your good securities, and duck
tape your bank safety deposit boxes, it's going to be a long, long ride
this time I'm afraid!"
