U.S. Repugnican Party-controlled Pakistan's leg of the world Olympic
torch relay began in secret on Wednesday, for Packistan's elite
audience, as exclusive security precautions resulted in an
invitation-only event. "We do not want any anti-war, anti-tyranny,
pro-Democracy demonstrators to mar this political athletic event to make
it appear to be a political event," stated the out-going Bush-installed
Musharraf government spokesman.
Clearly, with the Bush administration's, and hence, with the Musharraf
administration's worry about a possible presence of peace and justice and
Democracy protestors presenting themselves before the news media, or even
a CIA-staged "terror attack" on the high-profile ceremony, resulted in
thousands of police standing guard as Pakistan's Bush-led Repugnant Party
pro-China government ensured an eventless political propaganda appearance
in the torch's global travel to China. Afghan police also
utilized "sniffer dogs", to detect any beverage or food not purchased at
the Olympic torch relay concession stands. "The Bush administration
advised us well on how to profit from this non-political political
event," smiled an anonymous government official.
It was televised in a live broadcast for those not permitted to witness
the event live -- which was the only authorized method for the general
public to witness the event -- of the relay which was so vacant of
supporters and on-lookers, that it appeared almost like a pre-Olympic
relay practice run. Without any audience, the torch-carrying runners
carried the flame around the perimeter of Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad's
main sports complex.
