Hi,
We thought you might want to know about our new film GARBAGE! The Revolutio=
n Starts at Home, which was released just 4 months ago.
GARBAGE! The Revolution Starts at Home, the new feature length documentary =
by filmmaker Andrew Nisker takes an average urban family and asks them to k=
eep every scrap of garbage that they create for three months. The film take=
s them on a journey to reveal what their daily consumption is doing to the =
planet. By the end of this trash odyssey, the average person can connect th=
e dots between their actions and the environment.
Garbage! candidly portrays the threat to our environment as the McDonald fa=
mily tracks their waste output for three months. As they discover where the=
ir garbage goes and at what cost to the environment, the McDonald household=
engages the audience with an 'open-door reality-check.' Meticulous trackin=
g of consumption and waste, right down to the children's lunchboxes result =
in not only candid comments, but also some rather enlightening and even hum=
orous moments.
"Household waste is a huge factor in the degradation of our environment. Th=
ere is an unspoken and ongoing acceptance of extraneous packaging, for inst=
ance, mostly in the name of branding, resulting in tons and tons of garbage=
that we really can do without and this is visually portrayed in the film,"=
Nisker points out.
We've had amazing reviews from press/media including Fox News, MTV and more=
. We've also had schools and libraries all over host screening parties of =
our film. If you need more information about our film, please go to our we=
