"I'm just a very, very poor rich man," said Republican presidential
candidate John McCain. "I only earned a pitiful total of a measley
$405,409 last year and donated a quarter of it to charity, so I'm just
like any other middle-class working American! I'm a poor man!"
But, according to tax returns in the Repugnant Party manner, that tax
return only disclose a partial picture of his family's personal enormous
wealth. His 2007 individual tax filing does not account for his wife's
estimated worth of about $100 million. "Now that doesn't count," McCain
said about his wife Cindy, who have kept their incomes and
investments separate all throughout their 27-year marriage.=20
"We have always filed our income taxes individually, what's hers is hers,
and what's mine is mine. There's no conflice of interest in our
household, because she is not running for election on my income!"
