Partly becuase the people overseeing this didn't get to it and a couple of =
us then clamored to make sure the committee did what we'd agreed to do,  pa=
rtly my fault for not being able to get this out sooner (which wouldn't hav=
e been by much, anyway).

But even if feedback is late, send it anyway.  The platform committee has t=
o be directed by feedback, and a few days' after the deadline shouldn't dis=
count it.  If something meets with general approval or rejection, that indi=
cates what the platform committee needs to do with it.

Is there some reason that they gave us such a short timeframe to respond?  =
I mean, less than 48 hours to review and evaluate this kind of material is =
a bit short, even for the most connected policy wonk let alone the average =
party member.

This smacks of the Congress ramming bills through in the last minute with n=
obody having read them.

I'll try to give a response tomorrow.  Sheesh!
