You are correct because never in the history of Presidential elections has
this ever happened. Keeping it a secret so pundits can keep guessing, hence
giving the candidate more free time (not like Obama needs it). This is a
campaign maneuver that has been used for years and years. He wanted to keep it a
secret until the right time. With Obama down a few points against McCain, he
felt this was the time. There is no conspiracy to under mind the USA or
anything of the sort.
