[Iowa-dx] Date and Location of Iowa Green Party Convention?

Last I heard from our co-chairs, Iowa City in May, unless somewhere else wa=
nts to host it!

It would be good to have a firm decision, soon.  I've checked the public li=
brary and rooms are available now, but would need to be reserved, soon.  We=
 would want to figure out if we want a keynote speaker or guest speaker of =
some kind?

As for locations other than the library, the campus is off limits unless we=
 come up with a ton of money or a student organization to sponsor the event=
. (There is only one student group that we could approach, and I am not con=
fident they would be willing to sponsor a "partisan" event, since their mem=
bership is what I'd call "trans-partisan"); the other anti-war/progressive =
groups here are more "townie".  So far, it appears that Friday nights and S=
aturday in April and May are open for both the large room and a decent-size=
d meeting room with large table, dry erase board, etc (that would work well=
 for a state committee meeting, with the larger room for a larger crowd, sp=
eaker,  film, whatever).  The site is right downtown (more convenient than =
the IMU, in fact), parking nearby, free, etc.


So - ??  just let me know if and when to book (a) room(s); or, if this is m=
oving too far ahead -
