I tried to post to America's Exit Poll, however, so stupidly a window
popped up that said my message was too long. If they want to find out
why someone does something, they need to allow the person to explain.

So I forward this message both to WNYC's Vote 2008 feature "America's
Exit Poll" and I am posting this to Iowa Green Party's IowaDX Iowa DX
list-serve. Here is what I tried to post and sent by electronic message
to WNYC:

_________________________________________________I did not know about
Green Party until I moved to Las Vegas in 2000. There, as a homeless
man, I volunteered with several non-profit organizations and discovered
Green Party of the United States in the process. When I had come of age
to vote after high school when I was living in California, my boyhood
state, I registered for my first time as a Republican. At the time, I
knew nothing about the history of the Republicans. It just had a nice
name, and Democrats were strange to me. Then I hired on Southern Pacific
Railroad as a locomotive fireman, on the Los Angeles Division, my dream.=20
I loved trains and locomotives. But railroad shop personnel, enginemen,
trainmen, mechanics and clerks, all of them told me the same message,
that they had known about the Republican Party since the 1930s and they
wouldn't be a Republican or vote for a Republican because of their
record. I stayed Republican. Then two years later, I was drafted and
enlisted in the US Army. I contributed to and voted for Richard Nixon
while I was in the Army, and when I was separated from the Army in 1974,
it was just as Watergate became the news, but I did not follow the news
as I was studying for my promotion to locomotive engineer. I was
awestruck by the impact of the Watergate scandal and for Nixon's
subsequent resignation. I really liked James Carter, and realized it was
not his fault for the failure of the hostage crisis rescue in Iran, even
though my party blamed him for it. Having been an airmobile (helicopter)
recon-scout, I understood the role of the Pathfinder to direct air
traffic on the ground, and I resented the slander against Carter. But I
remained a Republican. As a Californian, I knew about and detested Ronald
Reagan as our former Governor already. I knew he was a liar and a
manipulator. But I knew nothing about George H.W. Bush's record either,
of Bush's sex scandal that was far worse than William Clinton's. I
admired what Bush said about Reagan's "Voodoo Economics" and felt here is
a Republican I can really agree with. I was astonished when Bush took
the vice presidency under Reagan, but I understood why. After Reagan's
horrible presidency to undermine our nation's values, I was rejoicing
when Bush was finally free to run as President, and I felt he would set
things straight like he said he would do back in the 1980 election. I
voted for GWH Bush the first time, but when it became clear that Bush had
tucked his tail between his legs and did what The Establishment wanted
him to do, proving to me for the first time that the Viet Nam anti-war
protestors were right, there really IS an Establishment, and then Bush
was responsible for The World Court convicting our USA of war crimes
against Nicaraugua, and finally, when the Republicans were going to
impeach our own Republican president and the Congressional legal council
said Bush would go to prison for 40 years, I was at that point driven to
re-register as a Democrat. Even though the Democrats amazingly blocked
Bush's impeachment, I still aligned myself with the Democrats. As a new
Democrat, I really supported and voted for William Clinton. I had
returned to Golden West College to renew my poor grades from my post-high
school days, where, as a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma due to my improved
grades, I met Al Gore during his campaign on campus! He wasn't like he
was shown on television later, Al Gore was witty and friendly and had a
great sense of humor. Later, on television, Al Gore seemed to want to
fall asleep whenever Clinton spoke to Congress! I considered that flaw
to contribute to Gore's defeat against Bush's son. Worse, Gore ran away
from his own shadow rather than to investigate the reported election
improprieties that the news media discovered and then let go dormant. At
this point, I was totally disappointed in the Democratic Party, because
the Democratic Congress did not stand up in any way to stop the
slanderous political attacks against William Clinton and even Hillary,
and Al Gore had graciously conceded to George W. Bush's inauguration
without challenging the obvious improprieties in the election system.=20
But I still did not know about the Green Party yet. That a US President
could stand up and cheerlead for our nation to start a war, and when the
United Nations said that it was illegal to start a war, I was sickened by
everything in our nation. I had supported his father with Desert Storm,
but Iraqi Freedom was all pure propaganda and equated to everything I was
learning about our nation's war-mongering history, only "Boy George" was
much worse! When I discovered Green Party in Nevada, like anything not
mainstream in Nevada such as Citizen Alert, I found it to be
dysfunctional and although well-meaning, actually afraid to be known for
its position. After several moves wherein I arrived at the city of my
birth, Saint Louis Missouri, I became involved with an off-shoot
competitor to Green Party of the United States, Green Party USA! But the
politics and subversive controls of GP-USA defeated my involvement
therein. And when I moved to Iowa City, Iowa, I discovered the real
Green Party of the United States, and last year I was a delegate for Iowa
Green Party at the Green Party of the US's National Meeting in Reading,
Pennsylvania! There I met my now-favorite candidate, who was not even
running for Green Party's presidential candidate while we had a slate of
candidate-wanna-bes: Cynthia McKinney! Cynthia McKinney was a former
six-term US Representative for Georgia, whom the Republican Party
sabotaged during her re-election because she was anti-war. When she lost
the election, voters put her back in office the following election, and
she had a part in drafting the impeachment articles for George W. Bush.=20
So the Republicans sent their sabateurs back down to Georgia and repeated
booting her out of office again. She got disgusted that the Democrats
knew of the voting fraud perpetrated in Georgia, and as of our Green
Party National Meeting in Reading last year, she became quite involved in
Green Party and has announced her candidacy to run for US President.
McKinney is the real thing. Unlike Nader, who is uncommitted to Green
Party and postures and procrastinates in his alleged offer to be our
Green Party presidential candidate, even though Nader is not even a
member of Green Party, Cynthia McKinney has genuine progressive liberal
views and is a member of our Green Party of the United States. I
enthusiastically support her run for so-called third-party candidacy!=20
She will help our party build because she is a real candidate and she is
fully endowed with her past record of political and civil rights
integrity. Plus, I know Obama is from the Establishment, all last year
he talked like a Republican and I recognize he is there to pull another
John Kerry on us by not really running for president, he is there to
split votes to keep Hillary from winning! As for Hillary, she genuinely
is running for president, but she has pros and cons to her record, but
she also speaks like a Republican on certain issues. I absolutely must
vote for Cynthia McKinney! She is the real thing, and I want our United
States of America to know her! LibrisFidelis@activist.com__________________=
