Asked if she would accept Barack Obama as her running mate, Hillary
Rodham Clinton squared off by saying "Don't even go there! I'm not
crazy!"
Independents were hoping Hillary Clinton would lure them into her corner
by choosing Obama as her running mate, a scrappy team would then result
that could not be beat. But the contest for the Democratic presidential
nomination has become more than competitive.
The Democratic Party's national convention in Denver looms ahead with
both candidates having more than half of the required number of delegates
to win nomination. The real test comes with the industrialized states,
where Clinton is sure the liberals have paid attention to Obama's
rhetoric and salesmanship that has belied his earlier statements. "He
doesn't talk the truth," one campaign staffer said of Obama, "but with
the kind of Democrats we have today, they just do not pay attention to
the news and what happens from day to day. Obama has never told the
truth, he just has a fantastic image staff to tell him how to look good.=20
Too many Democrats are buying that, just like what the Republicans do to
their own cult. The Democrats of today do not intellectually note what
has been going on in the Obama "O'Bam-ya" campaign or they would ridicule
him for his dishonesty.
