... to local lists, friends, family, Greens. From Randall Wilson, the ACL=
U's pro bono lawyer who handled our party registration case. If you haven'=
t yet register Green, you can do so now by going here:

l
(In fact, when we had official party status, starting in late February iof =
2001, we started out with about 50. By August we had a couple hundred, by =
October 2001, about 300. We then doubled about every 3-4 months, ending at=
a little over 2600 in 2002 - a little over a year and a half. That is the=
fastest rate of growth of any state Green Party ever, as far as I've been =
able to find. I would not expect this rate of growth now, but we should be=
able to get a couple hundred in the near-intermediate future!).

Subject: Iowa Libt & Green registration so far
Today Sandy Steinbach of the Iowa Secretary of State's
office told me that there are now 58 Libertarians and
34 Greens. For "bureaucratic" reasons, she told me
these figures will not appear on the Iowa Secretary of
State's web page, even though that web page does give
the number of "other" registrants, which is our two
parties.
I hope people in Iowa will do some concerted work to
get each of these totals above 100. Two digits makes
us look awfully feeble.
