I would also be surprised if there were any "high profile" Greens - or even=
any significant number of Greens in general - that favored the "three stri=
kes" law. There is no indication that McKinney did, and she certainly does=
n't now. It appears that Elaine Brown's campaign came up with this allega=
tion based on a vote McKinney did cast some years ago which supported incre=
asing numbers of community-based officers.

Certainly, I don't inside information on the inner workings of the national
Green Party. In addition, I think Cynthia McKinney is our best candidate f=
or
President.

That all being said, I do agree with the Green Party Platform on the Three
Strikes laws.* I realize that none of us agrees 100% with all aspects of t=
he
Green Party platform, least of all myself, but it would be surprising to me=
 if a
significant number of "high-profile Party members" are opposed to the repea=
l of
the =93three-strikes=94 crime laws-in which case I would certainly like to =
know of
this unusual state of affairs-or if there were unfounded rumors or characte=
r
attacks on our candidates.

Peace,

Bob
