I chatted up as many people as I could on Thursday night and as the =
clutter of political commentary drains from my memory a group of =
comments has risen to the surface.

We all heard that tens of thousands of independents turned out for both =
parties' caucuse, more for the Dems than Reps, and among them, more for =
Obama and Edwards than Clinton.

Many of them said upon leaving that if their candidate [Obama or =
Edwards] didn't get the nomination they would not vote for the Dem =
nominee [Clinton] and would probably vote third party.

If Clinton gets the nod, then a third party candidate might get a boost.
