Well, they are talking about "vegetable plastic". Thanks for providingus
with the information you found. What I heard over what I think was
National Public Radio was bya scientist being interviewed, who said
that there is a vegetable resingrocery sack that biodegrades and can be
composted! Not burned!The scientist said that even though buried, it
will decompose in atrash dump, which some kinds of paper will not! I do
not have a transcript or reference to the program I heard, it mayhave
been on Talk of the Nation or even perhaps on CanadianBroadcast Service's
program from Toronto, "As It Happens". All Ican say is that there is a
much better way of going about providingcontainers for people to bring
their groceries home, and the form ofcontainer I heard about will
