Hello all!
So conventions keep happening and we keep gaining delegates!
This may be the first message you have received from me due to the
overwhelming amount of requests and stuff to do. Plus i really have
an aversion to mailing lists (bad for a politician!).
there is much to convey so i'm sending one message with many parts as
to not flood you with emails.
Hopefully soon my website will be easier to maintain and more stuff
will be up faster, like:
- radio shows <http://archive.kpft.org/pls.php?mp3fil=3D8350790>
- video clips (one coming up on wgbh.org to vote for - here's the
preview <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DLQE9JYllvlw>),
- polls to vote at <http://sodahead.com/question/80661>, etc.
- my blog is functioning again: <http://voteswift.org> click on blog.
Also, if you've donated money and not received a thank you - please
accept this as a preliminary thank you and apology for taking so long.
I'll be saving money by not snail mailing thank you notes to everyone
and instead use those funds to help with ballot access and getting
delegates to the national convention. and if you haven't already,
now's the time to donate for the final stretch of party building mania

2. Upcoming conventions - WA/MO/MS/ME/FL/NYC/...
I was going to outline this but go here and if you can't find the info
let me know: <http://www.gp.org/2008-elections/Delegation-Selection-Proces=
s.php>
-------
3. Mail ballots - FL/AZ/NY
I know these states have mailed out ballots to registered Greens - if
you are and didn't get one then contact me or them, if you aren't
registered Green, then whatcha doin' here? j/k we love everyone even
the misguided :) (watch i'll get a flood of unsubscribes now)
-------
4. Ballot Access Drives - GA/PA/VA/MO/TX and more
Ok so almost twenty states are up for ballot access - with $50k we can
do all of them, so donate today - and sign the petition in your state!
if someone knows where all this goody info is on the national site -
pass it on.
-------
5. kat delegates to national convention
a. how many so far?
can't say for certain cause the national page is not up to
date - big one missing is CA, best guess is about 18 or so with way
less than half the states voting. last weekend I did get 3 in MD, 1
in TN, 1 in SC, no one got any in CO cause they mad at all of us for
not showing up on saturday - i did try and i sent one of my best
friends in my place! so :P (it is my second home - got roots there,
well family has roots there, my only roots are in my hair!)
b. are you one of my delegates? the you got questions to answer!
why would you do such a crazy thing?! *laugh*
time to focus on getting you delegates to Chicago for the convention:
http://www.greenparty2008.org/wiki/index.php/Home
Until July 15, registration is $225/each. if you are a kat delegate
and can afford the registration, or at least afford to register and be
reimbursed, please do so before the price goes up and let Drew - the
delegate coordinator know - c0ordN8@voteswift.org.
if you are a kat delegate and can't afford it, we need to know asap
that you will be able to attend with financial assistance.
To this end please tell us:
1. whether you'll be attending
2. Dates you plan on being there (saturday most important)
3. how you plan on traveling
4. what kind of financial aid you need to travel
5. did your state already pay delegate registration fees?
6. if you can pay for your registration, if not what assistance is needed
7. can you arrange your own hotel/hostel lodging? if not, list your needs
8. can you pay for your lodging?
9. do you have friends who can provide floor/bed/couch space in
Chicago to help save costs?
10. will you do your own fundraising to help cover costs to get you
there? - the FEC allows delegates to raise funds to attend convention
without reporting. if you can help out in this way, even if it's only
a few bucks, please do! i know how hard it is to ask for money - but
you'll be amazed how many people will pitch in if you just ask.
-------
6. Fundraising request
ok so i asked you all to help me raise $5 to stay in the race - it has
brought me thus far and getting me to the convention, however...any
more we can raise will help with ballot access where possible and get
my delegates to the convention and get us some staff help!
so...click here <http://voteswift.org/donate.php>
yes, i put this at the end, yes i'll bug you again...
- donate today - <http://voteswift.org/donate.php>
-------
Thanks again for all your support and efforts to keep the green party
growing in an effort to regain our democracy and civil liberties!
