I"m sorry to hear this sad news, and send my sympathies to the family. Al=
so sorry you won't be with us on Saturday, but that's understandable!
WE will make sure you get an attendance count. WE should also have at leas=
t a couple interested in media to send your way -
HOlly

Subject: [Iowa-dx] Change in plans
My daughter, Eva, just called us to let us know that her boyfriend's
mother passed away this morning. She had been battling cancer for some
time, and after the death of her husband this past fall had taken a turn
for the worse. Her boyfriend, Kraig, and his sister were with their
mother at her passing.
We are going to be staying here in Burlington this weekend to help as we
can with matters. Kraig was still working through the loss of his
father from this fall, and now has this to deal with. We want to be
here for him and for our daughter. He doesn't have a lot of family
left, nor does he have a strong church/religious group to assist him at
this time. Arrangements are pending, but Eva mentioned the possibility
of a Saturday service since all the family is local.
Because of this, we will not be attending the convention this weekend.
Please e-mail me a count of how many folks attend the state portion, as
Ted and I have a contribution to make based on that count. I also look
forward to working with whoever is chosen to replace me as media
coordinator. May the day be productive and positive for our efforts
here in Iowa!
