I really like the way our party is referred to as US Green Party! John
Rensenbrink and I are the only two persons so far who I knowuse the term
"United States Green Party". It not only sounds better,but in my case, I
joined Green Party USA for a brief time, when Ilived in Saint Louis,
Missouri for three years. I had never heard ofGPUSA before, and I did
not know the difference. That is due tothe fact that the Green Party of
the United States local group inSaint Louis does NOTHING to let the world
know they are evenin Saint Louis, let alone that they are not the same as
GPUSA, and Imis-took Don Fitz's GPUSA as being our own GPUS ! ! ! ! !
On the other hand, it might be logically and properly argued that bychanging
our name to USGP, it might segregate ourselves mentallyfrom the overall
international association of Green Parties, whereaswe all are supposed to
be mentally associative to the overall GreenParty tenents that we share
around the world, while also maintainingour individual independent
symbiosis. If not for GPUSA, I would be completely comfortable with ourGPUS
name. So, perhaps, since we are the ones who are theONLY Green Party
registered nationally to run candidates, as wegrow, maybe the GPUSA
organizations will all deterirorate to thepoint that they will come over
to our organization, the TRUE GreenParty in our country! We both have so
many similar values, exceptthat our GPUS does not practice a
