-Working with the media to win public support 
-Pitching your stories to reporters
-Nuts and bolts of writing press releases and advisories


Delivering Your Message to the Media *
    Wednesday, May 19, 2004
9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
-Roundtable discussion with local reporters and editors of major news
outlets
-Effective techniques for delivering your message
-On-camera practice with professional coaching
* Member leaders on campaigns are encouraged to attend this session

Where: UC Berkeley Institute of Industrial Relations
(2521 Channing Way (near Telegraph), Berkeley)

Fees: One Workshop is $150. 
Both are $250. 
(fees includes tuition, continental breakfast, lunch and materials) 

The workshops are designed for union communications directors, 
leaders and organizers who carry out media work.
