Thanks Holly. Not having been able to be at the meeting in question, I =
can't comment re: questions of fact. I had heard a concern that some =
people had remembered a commitment in 2000 to link the GPUS website to =
the LP Call for Economic Justice along with an acknowledgement of the =
support the GP gave to that call.=20

I hope that (whatever the reality of the 2000 decisions -- I'm not =
particularly worried about that) the language of the recommendation to =
the Platform Committee includes such a commitment this time. Since the =
Labor Greens hope to in the next period develop a webpage of our own, it =
could of course be linked from that page with an acknowledgement of the =
CC resolution.

All the best,
Michael-David

  Here is a bit of a correction concernin the LP's Call for Economic =
Justice and=20
  the Green Platform:

  There had been some confusion about our including, verbatim, the =
document in=20
  the Green Platform; obviously, that wasn't really feasible. What we =
did do=20
  was to include some of the points in our own Labor section (some had =
already=20
  been submitted during last year's cycle, in fact). The Platform =
Committee=20
  also plans to recommend to the CC that the CC pass a resolution =
supporting, in=20
  principle, the LP's Call for Economic Justice. That would give a show =
of=20
  supprot for teh LP and, it's hoepd, Labor in general. We haven't =
gotten to=20
  this, yet, we're still making the final platform changes approved at =
the=20
  convention, formatting, etc., but the recommendation to teh CC is on =
our lsit=20
  of things to do.

  Co-chair, GPUS Platform Committee
