Subject: [GPUS-PAX] CO secretary
HI Paxers,
I wanted to give everyone an update. You all know how in the last four
months my activism took a hit. During that time, I stepped down from a lot
of my hats, for instance, not running again for state co-chair and quitting
all of the dead weight committees where things weren't happening.
The sudden increase in my proffessional work load is evening out, the office
is moved and I have adjusted to inheriting Sue's shoes and running the
company.
Sue herself is much improved, but we are measuring progress in small
increments. In the last two weeks she began to gain facial control, which
means she can smile. Before her face was frozen, and it was heartbreaking
because she had no way to communicate at all. She has begun speaking a few
words and physically was beginning PT, even working on pedaling every day.
She has been moved closer to my area, to a Physical Therapy center. She
suffered a minor set back this weekend and went back in the hospital. But we
hope she will be back in PT soon. And I am hoping that I will have my
partner in work and politics back soon. I appreciate all the sentiments that
PAXers have sent in the last four months, it has been a difficult road, but
not without its many lessons.
My daughter also moved into her first apartment, the day before I left for
Tuscon. I have always warned folks, I am waiting for her to graduate before
I go head first. Well that time has come.
In the next two years, I am dedicating my hundred percent devotion to
Growing the Greens and working to heal the rift in our midst.
Many of you know that I was elected to the SC, and it is because of this,
that unfortunately, I have to relinquish my role as co-secretary here. I
know in the last few months, Joni has been steering that boat on her own, so
I know she will be just fine. But someone step up and help her, we have work
to do. YOu will find her a joy to work with.
BUT...I have no intentions of quitting pax. We have work to be done.
This year is our coming out party and we will be the group that puts the
Greens on the map. So keep your chins up. We will get through the PNP's and
then we will work fast to build an amazing presence in Crawford and DC.
Love you all!
Gpax,
echo
