While I remain in the green party, there remains unsolved within the green party, a committment to accountability and democratic process in the presidential endorsement/nomination process.
So, growing weary of the blockers of popular ideas supported by the overwhelming majority of greens, I consider withdrawing my support to my electoral politics liberal friends, staying in direct action, and, vis a vis electoral politics, attaching myself to where the winning corporate money is:
John Edwards for President.
Other than being from the corporate funded Democratic Party, what are the negatives involved in supporting Edwards?
On the positive side he seems very electable and has a track record and lip service to justice.
I'm not sure what his record in terms of the war has been, but I do know that Kerry had been calling for more not less US troops into Iraq.
What are other opinions? Is anyone preparing an Angela Davis or Ralph Nader campaign that would have a national independent and visible thrust?
Feliz Ano Nuevo, and may we shake our A's and kick some other's A's in the coming anum!
