[Peace-discussion] Idea for military recruiters (tongue in cheek)

First I should say I'm a veteran.  As I was walking through a local
college campus today I saw a very tricked out Humvee (I'm not certain
but I think it was not a Hummer, but an altered military Humvee) that
was elaborately painted in bright red, yellow etc. prominently
displaying 'Sempre Fi' - ie it was a US Marine recruiting vehicle.  As
I got closer I saw there was a marine dressed in the latest style of
combat fatigues.

Moving past the marine I thought to myself - "what's an able-bodied
marine doing sitting around campus in this fancy recruiting vehicle? We
need him in Iraq!"  This lead to the realization that all the
recruiters are able bodied soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines.  Then
I thought "These guys and gals need to be up on the front - we can't
afford to have them hack here."  

We all know that recruiting is down these days and that its gettin'
hard out there for the Pentagon pimps, So I formulated a new scheme for
military recruiters: use the disabled soldiers who can't go back to
combat for recruiting!!!  Fantastic idea!  That will give the disabled
heroes a job they can continue to do with honor and keep those heroes
that are still able-bodied on the front where they are needed!  Plus
the disabled folks have really been there and can tell the new recruits
what its really all about!  Fabulous!  Now do you think I can talk the
Pentagon into implementing my plan???
