Dear Gregg,

I see your concerns as two fold.

One you're unsure of the validity of two of the committees I'm on. Tho it's
stated as
You're Sure of the Invalidity of two.....

GPAX, revised p&p's and ms
They're being worked on. Yes it's moving at a snail's pace, kind of like
Watching grass grow! Like much in the gp when you have a mostly volunteer
force
Rather than corporate funded/minded hires.
In answer to "why it's so hard", is that we are working thru a lateral power
structure
Rather than falling into a heirachal system, it's less familiar to many and
so is
Not as 'precise' and scheduled as some would hope. Truly it can drive some
people
Crazy! I wish you luck in your patience and can only say, we strive to close
the
Gaps that exist.

It takes a variety of People with a Variety of Talent and a common
Vision to allow committees and the party to run smoothly. I trust the
members of the gpus
Share this vision, what we Need is more resources, and more People With
resources to allow
It to flourish. It takes those who resonate with various committees to join
to grow that effort
Two:
Which leads me to your second point, the anm,It SHOULD be accessible to as
many as wish to participate!

We have a Diversity Committee who's strength is a commitment to the
accessibility as
You were bringing up, are you on this committee?

Mission Statement
Whereas the Green Party aims to become a party of all people, the Diversity
Committee resolves to:

Work toward a Green Party that reflects the diversity of the United States;

Raise issues of diversity to the Green Party Coordinating Committee and the
Green Party at large; and,

Develop strategies to address and redress issues of diversity.

The Diversity Committee seeks to create a Green Party that takes affirmative
action to create a political community where all are welcomed, respected and
encouraged to participate at all levels.

In conclusion Gregg, I understand you and others have issues with how long
gpax is taking, and as to whether or not the anmc has
Been proposed on it's own recognicance or proposed by States.
All I can say is, if you bring your concerns up to the BRPP or the SC then
hopefully it would be adressed to your satisfaction.I've
Certainly have passed on your e mail.
If not then we also have the dispute resolution committee.
In conclusion Gregg, if you see the gpus as having 'heirachy' as in "rank
and file" then I'd say you've not invested in the concept of
Grassroots political activism that empowers you and inturn empowers the
gpus.
It's connected. Your insights are valid, yet your approach is not that of an
empowered individual. As we as individuals grow, so does our
Party.
Peace and Joy,
joni

Subject: So, you are on two committees who proposed their own creation

Dear Joni,

Both GPAX and the ANMC proposed their OWN creation in direct opposition to
internal Green Party rules, and you serve on BOTH of them.

Isn't that special?

I also see that the national Steering Committee is wondering why GPAX STILL
doesn't have a set of Ps & Ps.

I do hope that you will share my concerns with the rest of the gang
involved. Why can't you folks get it together enough to *properly* propose
the establishment of these committees, AND submit Ps & Ps to the GNC for
their approval, as *required* by our own internal policies?

I believe that the annual meeting is an unneeded burden for us, and should
be changed to one "Green Gathering" every other year, with no authorization
to take action, but a great shmoozing/organizing/coordinating opportunity,
and a national convention the other years. And I note with sadness that
nothing has been done or even proposed to pay for poor Greens to attend the
National Meeting. As a result, we will continue to see national meetings
dominated by folks rich enough to fund their *own* trip to a convention.
Here in South Carolina that means that, yet again, only academics with the
cash flow to pay their own way, will represent our state. I am sure this
happens across the nation.

But I also believe that GPAX and the ANMC should stop doing ~anything~ until
they are properly constituted by a proper vote of the GNC. Why is that
impossible? Why is it so hard to comply with the rules *we
ourselves* created?

Sincerely,

Gregg Jocoy
