Has gpax or the GPUSA endorsed the March 17th, March on the =
Pentagon?????

Many green parties in California have, including my Green Party of =
Orange
County.

Unfortunateley it took over a month to get any action vis a vis a mere
endorsement.

This needs remedy.

Other than Ralph Nader or Barbara Lee, is their any possibility of a =
serious
Green Presidential candidate?

The Los Angeles Jan 27th demo is gonna be MASSIVE!

Keep up the great work!

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Green Party of the United States has endorsed =
and=20
will participate in the January 27 'March on Washington' planned by =
United=20
for Peace & Justice (UFPJ) <http://www.unitedforpeace.org>, as well as=20
related events throughout the weekend.

The Green Party's Peace Action Committee (GPAX) is organizing the Green=20
contingent at the March on Saturday, January 27, and has scheduled a=20
pre-March rally for Greens and supporters to take place 10:00 a.m. on=20
McPherson Square, 15th and K Streets NW (near the McPherson Square Metro =

Station, Orange and Blue Lines). More information:=20

Greens have opposed the war since President Bush announced plans in late =

2002 to invade Iraq. The Green Party's national committee adopted a=20
resolution in July, 2003, calling for impeachment of President Bush for=20
numerous deceptions about reasons for the invasion and other abuses of =
power

<http://www.gp.org/position/st_2003_07_impeach.shtml>.

The Green Party, which ran a 'Peace Slate' of candidates in 2006, has=20
consistently demanded an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq =
and=20
led the political opposition to the war. Greens have sharply criticized =
the

Democratic Party for supporting the invasion initially, failing to take =
a=20
united stand against the war and other Republican agenda, and refusing =
to=20
pursue impeachment.

Other events to take place during the January 27 weekend:

=95 Friday, January 26: Pre-march welcome gathering for Greens, 7:30 =

the=20
Ward 4 seat on D.C. Council in a special election=20
<http://www.reneebowser.org>; this event takes place 5-7 p.m. at Busboys =
&=20
Poets, 14th Street, NW near V Street.

28.
