Boxer abstained on the pro-Bush General our privates, guard, and reserve are
calling General Betray-us.

Feinstein heartily gave a yea vote.

Now they're voting on B-team CIA guy, the former US ambassador to Vietnam
during that catastrophe, John "Deathsquads are foreign policy" Negroponte to
be deputy secretary of state behind Condie.

There must be accountability - the war crimes and national and international
catastrophe of the non-elected Bush regime can not be limited to de-funding
the war in Iraq.

In Afghanistan, Colombia, Cuba, and Venezuela, amoung places too numerous to
count, we the people of the United States, must stand up against the CIA and
state department as they pursue anti-democratic and terror-promoting
policies that make all of us less safe.

Hey All,

Sorry for the delay in posting this. We made a few decisions on Thursday and
I'll share them with you here. If anyone who attended thinks of anything I
missed please feel free to reply with it.

We nailed down some dates for action but locations still require research.
The freeway blogging will occur on Friday March 16th. Vern was assigned
ownership of this action (in his absence, but he asked for it!) so we will
look to him to come up with a time and list of locations. I think he will
want assistance scouting locations in different parts of the county so if
anyone knows of good locations please send them to him so that he can begin
compiling a list.

After some debate we decided that Saturday, March 17th will be the day for
the OC march and rally. There was some debate about this because of the
corresponding LA rally but we decided that, taking all factors into
consideration, that day will be the most effective for us. The aerial banner
will be arranged to cover the same time as the march and rally. So far Lynda
has done the bulk of the work on this but it hasn't officially been assigned
to anyone. Several proposals for location of the event were introduced and
are being researched:

Pioneer Park, Garden Grove. Chosen for it's proximity to The Block and
Loretta Sanchez's office. I will be looking into this possibility.

Yorba Regional, Yorba Linda. Chosen for it's visibility from the 91 FWY.
Diane is looking into this one.

Stoddard Park, Anaheim. Chosen for it's nearness to Disneyland and high
visibility Harbor BLVD. Lynda is researching this one.

Hillcrest Park, Fullerton. Good visibility, near the college. Pat (Jeff) is
looking into this.

Die-in

Or just an unstructured meeting with a rolling stage (on a truck).

The main factors that we see will limit our selection of location and
activities are available parking and permission to use amplified sound. This
issue of theme is still up in the air. We tossed around many ideas of a
theme for the event which all sounded like slogans and banner script. I
believe we all agreed that our essential goal is to end the war in Iraq but
no single message was decided on. I'll list the "themes" that were
suggested. We will need to re-visit this topic this week. If someone else
has a clearer explanation of this issue please send it out:

Airplane Banner

well first I guess we vote on if we wanna do it; I vote yes of course

then, do it Friday rush hour (same time as freeway blogging--Lynda's idea)
or Saturday during the rallies, going from our rally to the LA one and back
(my idea)

I can see good arguments for either...

and like Lynda says we can wait to vote on the exact message of the banner,
once we see what's actually going on in March...

The phone number to Congress on the banner seems cool, but what happens if
you call that number on a Saturday?  For that matter, what happens if you
call that number on Friday afternoon 4pm here which is 7pm in Washington?
If we're trying to use the airplane banner to orchestrate a deluge of calls
to Congress... maybe it should be early Monday morning?  But now I'm just
confusing things even more....

Can I be in charge of organizing the Freeway Blogging Blitz?  You guys can
vote aye or nay on that in my absence; but my plan, as I've described,
involves the quick, disciplined, furtive ATTACHMENT of dozens of signs on
freeway overpass bridges from 4 to 4:30, NOT the standing on the bridges
holding signs at 5 or 6 (which people can also do if they want)  And I'll
need lots of volunteers -- hopefully most of you, and other people too!
(Lots of other people are interested)  It is not too early to start
collecting big pieces of cardboard, and white paint.

I hope you guys decide on a location soon, Santa Ana seems good.  This
should be full-on bilingual if we're in Santa Ana and we should get lots of
local people involved.  (Sounds like the plane can fly over just about
anywhere if it's not too close to the airport, or over a protected area like
Disneyland -- it CAN go over Knott's Berry Farm on the way)

different parts of the county so if anyone knows of good locations =
please send
them to him so that he can begin compiling a =

After some debate we decided that

time as
the march and rally. So far Lynda has done the bulk of the work on this =
but it
hasn&#8217;t officially been assigned to anyone. Several proposals for =

of the event were introduced and are being =
