>From Henry Duke in the center of orange county California, Santa Ana

On Monday, July 23rd a deadline for Nanci Pelosi to announce call for
impeachment will be reached.

Taking advantage of her unliklihood to do this there are likely to be mass
demonstrations in all major areas and many less major areas. (We are having
a relatively large one here in OC at 4pm)

Point being: I will announce my intention to join Cindy in running against
dem Loretta Sanchez in OC on this important day to begin campaigning for
true peace candidates, and this would be a key day for a local, state, and
national press release.

Tom Lash, a perennial green congressional candidate is also intending to run
in his OC congressional district.

I NEED HELP IN SETTING UP LEGAL/POLITICAL STRUCTURES FOR SUCH A CAMPAIGN.

Subject: [GPCA-CCWG] Regarding Meeting Minutes (Continued)

CONTINUED, SORRY I HIT SEND BY MISTAKE:

Dear Warner,

You may be asking what all the Prior Email has to do with Candidates
Campaigns and Work Groups (CCWG)?

I Hope you agree that they are fine examples of " Support the GPCA's 10 Key
Values! "

More to the point I very much agree with the section I have copied below
regarding both the Presidential Candidates, and having the ability to add
candidates to the GPCA list for the CA Ballot going to the Secretary of
State's Office, and making sure we continue to put other Green Candidates on
to our local ballots too.

THIS IS WHY I WANT TO PLACE MY NAME ON THE GPCA PRESIDENTIAL BALLOT!

I can then get even more MEDIA PRESS COVERAGE in support of the GPCA's 10
Key Values, and do so as "A GREEN PARTY CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT IN THE STATE
OF CA ONLY!" None of the Green Party Presidential Candidates stands a snow
balls chance in hell of winning. HOWEVER, they can be the VOICES That our
Party so badly needs, to get our "10 KEY VALUES HEARD", and to make people
AWARE that there is another choice of "POLITICAL PARTIES TO JOIN!"

Why not run as many good candidates whom have proven their ability to get
GOOD PRESS COVERAGE?

I hope my ideas are taken seriously into account and presented to the
GPCA-CC and at the PLENARY in Riverside.

Billy Olson, Kern Greens, (661) 399-0235

PORTIONS FROM WARNER's PRIOR EMAIL;

Discuss proposal for plenary re creating list of candidates for GPCA
Presidential Primary Election February 5, 2008. Clarifying text to be
added for
procedure: First consider and approve/reject names of GPUS recognized
candidates. Second, consider proposals for additional names -- first by
consensus and
then, if necessary, by discussion and votes. Also need to add text to
indicate need for pre-plenary work. Use County Contacts list and other
email
lists to try to get people prepared and publicize candidates as much as
known.

Brief Campaign Strategies Discussion. Presidential election year as an
opportunity for partisan office campaigns. Counties where there was
a GPCA candidate in 2006 needs to be encouraged to have that candidate run
again or find another candidate so voters in the local area get used to
hearing from GP candidates seeing the GP on the ballot. Also need to
encourage
multiple level campaigns.

Warner (7/12/07)
