We need to fill the court room and we need your help! Please come out and
show your support for those speaking out and having their day in court.
Please pass this to your friends and come be a part of history. Let's show
Tulsa that we have had enough and that we are ready to stand up and speak
out for what is right. I am not ready to stop fighting for my country.
Impeachment is the only moral solution!!!! Please join us tomorrow in the
court room and then outside for the press conference!
Peace, Angela Spotts

TULSA IMPEACHMENT ACTION GROUP GETS THEIR DAY IN COURT:
On April 27th, about 80 people gathered at the Downtown Doubletree hotel to
protest the arrival of Vice President Dick Cheney to attend a fundraising
luncheon for Senator Jim Inhofe. Ten of the protest participants were
arrested when they laid down in the street to spell out the word "Impeach"
in order to draw attention to complaints about the Iraq war and government
accountability.
On June 21, at 2:00 p.m., eight of those participants will have a chance to
be heard when their case goes before Judge Brad Powers, in Division 1 of the
City of Tulsa Municipal Court, 600 Civic Center (near W. 6th Street and S.
Elwood Ave.), 2nd Floor, Tulsa, OK., 918-596-7757.
The group hopes to have a chance to explain their own individual reasons for
this action. The defendants expect to testify about the injustice of the
Iraq war, the policies and actions of the Bush Administration, Vice
President Cheney and Senator Inhofe and what compelled them to civil
disobedience in the best traditions of the Chicago Seven (Eight), Martin
Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi and Henry David Thoreau.
All persons in sympathy with the actions of this group are welcome to attend
this public trial. The defendants, which include several ordained clergy,
and their attorneys, Greg Bledsoe of Tulsa, and Rex Friend, from Oklahoma
City, will be available to answer any questions from the press outside the
main north entrance of the Municipal Courts building on the Civic Center
plaza.
