Well said and i certainly agree,
What kind of humans are witholding aide to other people who so desperately
need it?
What is wrong with a system as such?
imo it's the disconnection, it goes deep, it's recognizing that our govt  is
after all people being
faced with choices which we ourselves are faced with every moment of the
day. Yet many of us,
especially within the GP are connected, not only with people but with the
environment, with the political
process, with the racism which has gone unadressed, with the classism which
has gone unadressed, and yet
you've others who continually turn over the power of choice to violent
institutions, which have been in existence since
colonization connected with the native population here and rather than
sustainable, synergy there came with them this
culture of "control" of 'manipulation and exploitation'.
When we adress the ails of our world, our country our communities, 'dis
ease' of the individual, much of it boils down to 
isolation, disconnection...

Actually the crisis is best summed up in the following taken from Amy
Goodman's headlines of May 30th:

China Darfur envoy Liu Guijin: "The essence of the Darfur issue is not the
so-called genocide. It came from the conflicts among different parties for
water and land which originated from poverty and a less developed status.
It's because of the shortage of resources. So it is a problem of
development. If the international community sincerely hopes to help resolve
the Darfur issue the same as other issues in Africa, it should provide more
development assistance along side with humanitarian aid."
