A good point. I would advise folks to see "Crashing the Parties"
(documentary on PBS about third parties) which details the bitter 3-way
fight for the Libertarian nomination between Badnarik, Aaron Russo, and
Gary Nolan. It was just as tense and nail-biting as Milwaukee but when
it was over everyone stood behind Badnarik.
The failure of Greens to stand behind Cobb might be blamed on all of us.
As leaders of the party it was up to us to return from Milwaukee and
galvanize the petition process, get the word out about our
candidate,etc. In hindsight, we know this didn't happen in a lot of
states. Also to garner the required number of signatures many states had
to start before Milwaukee without knowing who the candidate would
be (a difficult sell from the start in terms of recruiting volunteers).

I think you're wrong on this one--the "Presidential exploratory" process
was included in the details of our mission you just sent out.
Candidates considered in the state primary/caucus season leading up to
the convention is part of the "Nomination process" and our work.
