The Austin Electric Vehicle Buyers Club is a brand new organization whose
objective is to enable the members to purchase practical, affordable
all-electric vehicles by aggregating a market in Austin of at least 100
buyers.  The underlying premise of this plan is that electric vehicle
technology and the required battery developments have advanced to a
sufficient level that an introductory market opportunity exists today.
There are approximately a dozen companies ready produce EVs with a 100 mile
range, excellent acceleration, and all the safety features and amenities of
a conventional car.  We believe that an order of 100 EVs (of a common
design) could bring the selling price down to under $30,000.

Once we have a sufficient number of interested prospective buyers, we will
survey the group as to their preferences (starting with vehicle size), meet
to refine the specifications,  solicit proposals from qualified EV
developers, and select a company to build our cars.
