Texas politics is totally screwed up by cashocrats and a tradition of  
corruption, so that for the Greens to give support to Chris Bell and  
hoping for any progressive result is crazy. He may be running fourth.  
Maybe in another state Greens could hope to make some kind of  
mutually beneficial deal by horse trading with Dems but not here.

So if Bell would throw his support to Kinky, Kinky could win and at  
least we would have half a loaf. Kinky doesn't understand policy but  
he is good at media, and is a reformer by instinct.

It looks like the Dems will win Congress and this will start a strong  
populist shift to the left that will split the schizophrenic Dems  
between its corporate and progressive wings.

With the Republicans marginalized, the fear of voting Green should  
dissipate and this should open the door to serious reforms, IMO. --
