[Texgreen] Question about war and the media ...

Howdy all.  I've got a question.  

I know the Bush Administration won't allow pictures of coffins coming home or
dead soldiers returning home from Iraq to be shown in public news outlets.  But
my understanding is that the gruesome bloody pictures and video of dead bodies
destroyed in the streets of Iraq and now Lebannon are withheld by the media by
CHOICE, not by gov'tal hand.  

Can anyone testify to these beliefs?  I'd like to make sure I'm working with
facts here.  Thanks.
