Mark Davis is making a stink about this ( his column about it will be in tomorrow's ( Wednesday ) DMN, and his idiot followers are likely to flood Cuban with much e-mail flack. So if everyone here can zap him a nice, intelligent note commending him on getting this out to a mass audience. I don't mean come off like a conspiracy geek, just applaud him for doing it. And maybe congratulate him for the Mavericks. My note to him below...

Mark, in the previous post, I expressed my admiration for your wide ranging efforts and actions in the indie film world with Magnolia/Landmark ( again, in particular for "Fay Grim" ), but now I'm becoming equally impressed at your progressive leanings and free speech gestures. Read the Progressive mag interview with you a month or so back and while I hold no illusions that you are quite as left leaning as myself ( not with the Rand admiration :-), I'm getting to like your actions more and more. I occasionally will listen to Mark Davis and his clueless callers/followers, and Monday I overheard the e-mail exchange with him you had over Magnolia pictures distribution deal on "Loose Change". Can't say I totally buy into it all ( some of it's damn eye opening though ), but it speaks of things that should be at least be heard by more people. When they had a reception screening for this last year at the Lakewood theatre, the response turnout was so huge, they had to
turn many away. A few blog responses suspected you might want to just limit online access to all this, but I see how the DVD can only spread the word. Anyway, don't back down. Courage as Dan Rather says.
One other thing Mark, and this is something from a business stand point. Are you familiar with the 3 part BBC series "The Power Of Nightmares"? Talk about something many, MANY people want a DVD copy ( a nice, pristine Magnolia pictures copy ) of. Please give this a few minutes to take into consideration. Below are BBC links, the actual series itself, a Wikipedia explanation, imdb location, the high Rotten Tomatoes score, and finally, the very wise Thom Hartman weighing in on the matter. Very well produced, a little less contoversial ( but probably not to many of these right leaning alarmists ) and a potential cash cow. Something to think about. Take care...
